Heidi Smith just finished her PhD at Columbia University in Biological Sciences. She has recently started her postdoc at the University of Texas-Austin working with amphibian behavioral ecology. She created this blog to remind us of the awesomeness of nature. This blog is about all the amazing organisms out there that continue to make humans look lame. Sometimes this is in the form of posts about behavioral ecology, biodiversity, evolution, conservation. Also, picture and video eye candy of some pretty dope creatures appear regularly and are meant to inspire others to get outside and comfort those stuck in a lab.
